BJP high command in no hurry to nominate 5 MLAs | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 8: Exactly three months have passed since the declaration of the results of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, but no decision has been made regarding the nomination of five MLAs.
Highly placed sources have stated that neither the BJP-led government at the Centre is in a hurry to make a decision on this issue, nor has the National Conference-led government headed by Omar Abdullah shown any interest.
According to the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019, the Lieutenant Governor has the authority to nominate five members to the Legislative Assembly.
“The BJP high command has yet to show any interest in the nomination of five MLAs to the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly,” sources said, adding that a decision in this regard will be taken only after the announcement of the Rajya Sabha elections.

The Railway Board unveiled a Vande Bharat Express train, specially designed to operate seamlessly in Jammu & Kashmir’s challenging winter conditions, for the upcoming Katra-Srinagar rail route.
