Jammu, Apr 18: Infighting within the J&K Congress came to the fore today when some workers raised an uproar over the undue importance given to certain dissidents during interactions with the visiting All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary and in-charge for J&K and Ladakh, Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain.

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is set to undergo a major digital overhaul to enhance services for over 9 crore beneficiaries, with Version 3.0 set to launch by May or June, Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Friday.

BSF and Punjab Police have recovered six pistols along with 14 magazines in the border area of Amritsar following an extensive search operation, an official said on Friday.
The joint search operation carried out on Thursday led to the recovery of a large packet wrapped in yellow colour adhesive tape with a metal wire ring attached to it, a BSF spokesperson said.

Results of the second edition of engineering entrance JEE (Main) will be announced by April 19, NTA officials said on Friday.
The final answer keys will be notified by Friday, they added.
“The final answer keys of JEE (Main), 2025, Edition-II will be available for download on the JEE (Main) website on April 18. The results of JEE (Main), 2025, will be declared latest by April 19,” a senior National Testing Agency (NTA) official said.
The NTA has received several complaints from candidates about errors in provisional answer keys

The government on Friday said new regulations requiring mandatory verification and stamping of traffic radar equipment will be implemented from July 1 to improve road safety and enforcement accuracy across the country.
The Consumer Affairs Ministry has notified the rules following extensive consultations with stakeholders, including the Indian Institute of Legal Metrology, Regional Reference Laboratories, manufacturers, and vehicle certification organisations.
“These rules will come into force from July 1, 2025, providing sufficient time for industries and enforcement agencies to comply with the provisions,” the ministry said in a statement.
