Seniors likely to say goodbye, rejoin Congress

Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 22: Decision of Ghulam Nabi Azad to withdraw himself from the electoral battle is likely to prove disastrous for his Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) as most of the senior leaders are likely to say goodbye to the party. Majority of the party DPAP are unhappy with the decision of the Ghulam Nabi Azad to run away from the battlefield without any reason. Sources in the DPAP said that after thorough discussions it was decided that Ghulam Nabi Azad would contest elections on the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat and the chairman of the party had also given his consent. “Leaving the battlefield without any solid reason has demoralized party leaders and workers who have been associated with Azad for long”, sources said and added that most of the DPAP mass-base leaders were of the opinion that their future was dark in the party so it was better to rejoin the Congress.
