Jammu, Jan 10: A deputation of ASHA Workers Union Jammu (affiliated with CITU) led by Sham Prasad Kesar senior leader of CITU met Director NRHM in his office chamber. According to press release, the members discussed the grievances of the ASHA worker like ASHA workers be covered under AAM AADMI BIMA YOJNA on the pattern of Anganwadi employees, pending payment of assured incentive of Rs. 1000/= per month w.e.f April 2014, regularize ASHA workers and pay Rs.15000. As minimum wages and social security, implementation of the recommendations of the 45th Indian Labour Conference, Mobile, Uniform, and washing charges be paid as per present market rates, identity cards be issued to the workers, stop harassment and provide changing room in every hospital.
