JTC discusses demands | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 10: An emergent meeting was convened by Jagti Tenement Committee at Jagti camp Nagrota, in which members discussed several demands. According to press release, in the meeting several issues pertaining to the Migrant Community were highlighted particularly those putting up at Jagti Migrant camp were confronting with Rationing issue. The dwellers of the camp are receiving their ration from the ration depots on every last days of the months i.e. on 25th onwards, creating a great trouble among the people. In the meeting it was also stressed upon the administrative that atleast there should established two additional depots in the camps for the convenience of the Migrant people which will pave a way for quick delivery of the ration to camp inmates. The participants have felt an aguish and surprise over the non- delivery of the Ration for the month of the December-2014 such as the rice and Sugar. The president of the JTC/SKF Shadi Lal Pandita in his speech said that in spite of clear warnings and the request to the Department of Food and Supplies Jammu, they have not mend their ways and to make the supplies to the people without any hurdles or inconvenience to them. The members appealed to the Director CAPD to make every efforts to distribute the ration from 10th of every month instead of 25th and also appealed to clear the pending ration with the department at the earliest. Those who participated in the meeting includes SN Gurtoo, PL Thusoo, Rattan Lal Bhat, Rajinder Dhar, Sunil Raina, Sanjay Pandita, Vijay Pandita, ML Akhoon, ML Pandita, RL Bha, Sham Lal Tickoo, and others. |
