| Blood donation camp organized under operation 'Sadbhavna' | | | Early Times Report
BUDGAM, Jan 10: Carrying on with its operation 'SADBHAVNA', 2RR of the army today organised a blood donation camp at Soibugh Village inviting a huge rush of the participants. Youth of the area participated in impressive numbers, who were enthused to take part in the noble gesture conducted by the army.
A team of army doctors as well as the doctors from the health department conducted the health check-up of a many people.
The patients with different problems were provided the medicines worth thousands of rupees.
Senior army and civil officers were present on the occasion to boost the morale of the participants. The people of the area expressed their desire that such programmes should be conducted on the routine basis.
Besides helping the people of the area medically, valuable suggestions were given by the organisers to the farmers as to how to increase the production in their fields. The authorities explained to the participants regarding how to explore the means of employment.
At the end of the programme the army distributed some relief to the flood hit people of many villages in the form of blankets.
This gesture was hailed by the people of the area who hope that it will be repeated in the coming times. |
