kishtwar, Feb 4: Youth Volunteer Welfare Association ( NGO) has sought attention of district administration towards the far flung areas of district. Talking to media persons, Association president said that due to heavy snowfall in all reaches of district , people are suffering from last a week . He said that the areas like Marwah, Warwan, Dacchan, Chatroo, Keshwan, Saroor , Padder and even areas of kishtwar town needs immediate attention to provide people the basic essentials including free ration , availability of ration in government outlets , kerosene oil , medical facilities and accessibility of drinking water and electricity . He lamented that several kerosene outlets are selling kerosene in black and not giving adequate quantity of oil to the ration card holders and same is the case in ration stores as they are also using the same illegal trends. He said that people of several villages sans basic facilities and due to heavy snowfall district administration must depute a departmental teams and make a proper surveillance of snow affected areas . In some areas of district, roads and streets are yet to be needed clearence of snow. He also added that there is a need of strict vigilant in the rates of vegetables , fruit, chicken and mutton in kishtwar as the vendors are looting the public by using their own rate lists . |
