MLA Inderwal calls on Governor

Jammu, Feb 4: Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, a third time MLA elected from Inderwal called on N. N. Vohra, Governor Jammu and Kashmir, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
Saroori brought to Governor's notice several problems and developmental issues of district Doda and Kishtwar. He discussed with Governor about construction of Singpora-Vailoo tunnel. He said this tunnel will be the shortest alteration road to existing National Highway 1A from Batote to Kashmir via Chatroo Sinpora Vailoo tunnel.
He gave detailed information about the tunnel and said pre-feasibility report stands submitted by GREF to Union Road and transport ministry. He urged Governor to take up the constriction of Chatroo-Singpora-Vailoo tunnel with Union government in the interest of state.
Saroori discussed for early clearance of liabilities against executed works under MGNREGA in district Doda and Kishtwar. "The non-payment of the wages has created un-recoverable vacuum of development and income generation programme for general public", Saroori said and added that time and again the matter was conveyed to higher authorities for release of required funds for the purpose and finally Government of India has released Rs. 117 Crores which is laying pending with Administrative Department for disbursement.
He also pressed for early clearance of pending Rehabri Taleem Teacher engagement panels lying with the Directorate Office of School Education in respect of district Doda and Kishtwar beside release of wages in favour of SSA Teachers. Saroori brought in to Governor's kind notice regarding the situation which has arisen due to non issuance of free ration to the Chula slip beneficiaries enlisted for provision of six month free ration other than ration card holders in reference to the government order for provision of free ration to flood and crop damaged victims in the State.
