Illegal engagement of casual employees in PHE Qazigund | Governor urged to take cognizance; VO unmoved | | Saahil Suhail

Anantnag, Feb 4: A group of employees working in PHE Qazigund division aggrieved by the illegal engagement of seventy five blue-eyed casual employees had formally lodged a complaint with the Vigilance organization of Kashmir a month ago; but anti-graft body stayed inert. Employees of the PHE Qazigund division have now urged Governor N N vohra to take action in the alleged scam. Informed sources told Early Times that the aggrieved employees formally lodged complaint with the Vigilance organization a month ago but the anti-corruption organization hfailed to take cognizance of the alleged scam. "A month earlier we wrote to vigilance informing of the illegalities, but have not got any response yet." An employee whishing anonymity said. Employees said that they the same complaint to Governor N N Vohra a few days ago and are expecting action from him as he has shown interest in eradicating the menace of corruption by taking the corrupt officials to task in last administrative reshuffle. "Through we brought this issue into the notice of Chief Engineer of the department, however his response was cool. It seems that the Executive engineer has owned the illegal appointees on the directions of Chief Engineer." Employee whishing anonymity said. They said that they are working in the department from past 20 years and suddenly these 75 blue eyed have been recruited and added to their cadre. "Each official has accommodated his six relatives in the list and all of them are working in private firms" said an employee. |
