IIIM introduces tetra pack product in market | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 12: Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) today introduced tetra pack of Phalsa Juice in first times for sale. The first lot is already being sold by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) since last month with excellent response as confirmed by M K Bhandari, CEO SMVDSB. Since there is a limited stock of only 1.3 Lakh Tetra Packs we are concerned to meet the requirement, it is extremely important that Phalsa is produced in large quantities in Jammu region below 3000 feet altitude extensively so that the fruit can be served fresh to the Pilgrims / Tourists in the month of June and enough pulp is available to meet the requirement throughout summer. Meanwhile, a joint meeting J&K Ex-Services League and the Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) in which they appeal to the people of Jammu and also the concerned Departments of the Government to take to plantation at a large scale as the market has already been established. Phalsa Plants are available in the market and also with IIIM at Rs 15 per plant. The farmers particularly the Ex-Servicemen are advised to start plantation immediately to be completed before middle of March. Ram Vishwakarma, Director IIIM assured all possible help to the farmers and the Ex-Servicemen in making the State a Herbal State as he is also expecting the Bio Tech Park coming up in Jammu which will provide all the assistance from production to marketing of Medicinal and Herbal products very shortly. R K Raina, Consultant, Dr S. Chandra, Chief Scientist and Balbir Singh Jamwal, Advisor were also present on the occasion. |
