Omar had denied audience to Sanjay Singh during floods | Now NC lauds AAP for its victory, asks PDP to learn lesson | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 12: Statements are being issued by various political parties congratulating Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for its historical victory in Delhi elections. National Conference leaders also have issued similar statements and have even advised Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to take a lesson from AAP . Omar Abdullah and Ali Mohammad Sagar NC's General Secretary and other leaders have been applauding AAP but just a few months back when senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh who is also the party's National Spokesman had come to Srinagar for flood relief work was denied an appointment by Omar Abdullah . Sanjay Singh had been made to wait for four days by Omar Abdullah and finally he left for Delhi after spending more than a week in Srinagar along with his team of 12 volunteers who undertook lot of flood relief work in Srinagar and Budgam districts. Sanjay was deputed by AAP leader and CM elect of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal for handing over his letter to Omar Abdullah as he had offered a help of around Rs 6 crores towards CM's relief fund which was provided out of MP LAD and MLA funds by 4 MP's and 27 MLA's . Pertinent to mention that Sanjay Singh while talking to Early Times during the Kashmir floods had said "We want to help Kashmiri people but State government is not cooperating. We have collected Rs 6 crores and we don't know why Omar is hesitant to take the money," Singh, who was camping in Kashmir for two weeks and visited many flood-hit areas to take stock of the situation,. The AAP team lead by him had visited many flood affected areas of Kashmir and undertook lot of flood relief work as well. In spite of being denied an appointment Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) still diverted its donation money towards CM's relief fund. This issue is being seriously debated on the social networking sites especially facebook and facebook users are castigating National Conference for its double stand. " Omar had thought AAP is gone forever and will never come back to power and he felt it is useless to Sanjay Singh AAP leader , but who would know we would come back with a thumping majority " reads a post from facebook from a AAP supporter from Srinagar. |
