| Election Petition filed against MLA Domana | | |

Jammu, Feb 25 : An election petition has been filed in the State High Court against an elected BJP MLA Bali Bhagat from 78-Raipur Domana by Advocate Naresh Salgotra who contested election as an independent candidate from that constituency through his legal counsel Naresh Kumar Raina. This election petition has been assigned to Justice B.S.Balia by Chief Justice for trail on a note put before him by the Registrar Judicial.
In this election petition it is alleged that the public at large is till date seeing an unsigned affidavit filed by the BJP MLA Bali Bhagat along with his nomination paper and which has been improperly accepted by the Returning Officer Dr. Piyush Singla, SDM north.
The affidavit which he personally signed along with his nomination paper seems to have been deliberately left blank and that affidavit has been uploaded by RO/CEO staff in the official website of Election Commission of India and The Chief Electoral Officer Jammu and Kashmir and vehemently violates Art 19 (1) and (2) of Constitution as per Supreme Court judgment Resurgence India VS Election Commission of India dated 13th September 2013. |
