CPPWU demands opening of Degree College at Paddar | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Feb 25 : Chinar Power Projects Workers Union (CPPWU) District Kishtwar demanded opening of Government Degree College at Paddar. Speaking on the ocassion Chairman of the union Joginder Bhandari urged upon the Union Minister of State in PMO Dr. Jitendra under Singh to fulfil his commitment made with the people of Paddar during election regarding the granting of Govt.Degree College at Paddar. He said that every year about 600 students passes their HS part-II from Govt HSS Atholi Paddar and due to the non availbality of Degree College in the area most of the students give up their further education due to the poverty as most of the people of Paddar are bent upon the labouring work. He also said and added that those who have sought their admission in Govt Degree College Kishtwar are putting up in a rented accommodation where they are charged Rs 1500 to Rs.2000 from each student monthly which every student cannot afford and consequently most of the students have to give up their further studies. Among those who were attended the meeting included Bashir Khan, Mohammad Amin Khatri, Tariq Patri, Anil Sharma, Hussain Gannue, Javed Malipath, Sameer Bhat, Mohammad Ashraf Gannie. |
