| Fitness Contest at KC Sports Club | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 25: The state-of-the-art Gym at KC Sports Club is one of the best in the city where a fairly large number of patrons, both men and women, have been seen making use of this fitness facility on regular basis and deriving maximum benefit from it.
With a view to strengthening the fraternity of fitness enthusiasts of Jammu, the Club used to organize special events from time to time. One such event was organized for the gym members in the form of a ‘How Fit Are You’ Contest at the KC Sports Club today.
The Competition started between the competitors with the challenge of executing running. All the participants undertook the challenge with immense zeal. At the end of the contest, R D Bali from the morning session was declared winner for doing running on treadmill keeping 4.5 inclined in 25 minutes. Shreyas Kuthiala emerged winner from the evening session. He completed the running on tread mill keeping 3.5 inclined in 23 minutes.
Manas, an immensely popular RJ from local FM 97.2, also graced the occasion by his presence and interacted with the members in the form of a question-answer session at the end of which prizes for best answers sponsored by the Club were also given away. Manas also viewed various indoor sporting facilities within the Club and put in a word of appreciation for their exceptionally high standard. He was particularly impressed with the Cricket Hall on the first floor measuring 16000 square feet of air-conditioned space. The Hall with 9 practice tracks for both pace and spin batting and bowling is equipped with special lights to facilitate night Cricket. The Club in collaboration with Yuvraj School of Excellence provides intensive coaching in the game under the guidance of highly talented and experienced coaches. He also viewed the all-weather indoor swimming pool which is near completion on the ground floor and observed that it would be a unique facility of its own kind for the people of Jammu when it opens for public next month. |
