Jammu, Feb 25: Ajit Club shall be playing against Zorawar Club Satwari in the final of the ongoing senior men's Jammu District Hockey Championship, organised by Hockey Jammu and Kashmir at K K Hakhu Stadium, here tomorrow. Earlier, in the semifinals, played today, Ajit Club trounced fighting Hiranagar Club 3-2. Balbir Singh (third) and Agandeep Singh (15th and 36th) scored for winners Ajit Club while Abhinandan netted both the goals from Hiranagar Club striking in the ninth and 38th minute of the match. In other semifinal, Zorawar Club outplayed MBS Club Simbal Camp 9-8 via tie breaker in the well contested game. In the stipulated time the match ended in a 3-3 draw after MBS levelled the score in the last minutes of the game. Mukesh Pandey struck twice for Zorawar Club in the 11th and 26th minute while Ramandeep Singh added the third goal in 17th minute. From MBS Club, Ramandeep Singh scored two goals in the 29th and 55th minute. The first goal for MBS came through Jaspreet Singh in the 19th minute. Later, in tie-breaker, Lakhwinder, Harsh, Mahesh, Vijay Vaid and Lakhvinder were successful penalty shooters from winning Zorawar Club while from MBS Club, Prabjyot Singh, Karanjot Singh, Ramandeep Singh and Taranpreet Singh successfully netted the ball. Meanwhile, Young Star Simbal Camp and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Club also made it to the final of the ongoing sub-junior boys' championship today. Now, both shall take on each other in the title clash tomorrow. Earlier, in the semifinals, played this afternoon, Young Star defeated MBS Simbal Camp 3-0. Ramandeep Singh (12th), Harsh Choudhary (37th) and Ramandeep Singh (44th) were the scorers. In other semifinal, Maharaja Ranjit Club trounced Guru Nanak Nagar Club 2-1. Ramandeep Singh (12th) and Prabjot Singh (31st) were the scores for winners while Vikram Singh (15th) netted the lone goal from Guru Nanak Nagar Club. Today's semifnals officiated by the technical penal comprising Amarjit Singh, Karanjit Singh, Manjeet Singh, Charanjit Singh, Jagjit Singh, Joginder Singh and GS Bakshi. |
