JKUSTA holds meeting

Jammu, Feb 25: A meeting of J&K United School Teachers Association was held under the chairmanship of Hari Singh, provincial president at Jammu to draw the attention of government on the following burning demands.
USTA strongly criticised the central and state governments for not releasing salary grants in favour of teachers working under SSA, RMSA, and NPSetc.
Moreover masters who were either repatriated or dislocated by authorities to serve their vested interests and deployed without post are without salary for last five months for no fault of theirs.USTA demands early clearance of all dues of teaching community by the end of this month.
The meeting demanded adjustment of all masters and lecturers in one go whose DPC has been made. USTA calls upon the authorities to concede these genuine demands at an earliest otherwise USTA will be compelled to initiate mass struggle in near future. Others who were present in the meeting were Rajeev Kumar, Pradeep Singh Shashi Pal, Julfkar, Raj Kumar,Sirajudeen, DarshanLal, and Madan Singh.
