Sprawling Buds donates Rs 25,000 to IMF

JAMMU, Mar 29: Impressed by the programme organised at Jammu by Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) North Zone Committee for specially abled children and the exemplary dedication and devotion with which the organisers carried out all the activities like sport climbing especially for blind children, Sprawling Buds School, Chinore, here donated Rs 25000 to IMF North Zone Committee to enable the organisation to carry out more such activities in future.
The cheque was presented by the Principal of the School, Puja Sharma to S Bhattacharjee, Chairman, Indian Mountaineering Foundation North Zone Committee, New Delhi on latter's visit to the institution in connection with the finalisation of sport climbing competitions and other adventure activities in the school during 2015.
Ram Khajuria and Shawetica Khajuria, general secretary and joint secretary respectively of Mountaineering Association of J&K as also Arti Sharma and Savita Khajuria, Directors of the school were also present on the occasion.
It may be mentioned here that Sprawling Buds School has been in the forefront to promote sport climbing and other adventure activities in J&K. The school has a standard fiber glass sport climbing wall on which all the district and open competitions of Jammu province as well as State Sport Climbing competitions are regularly conducted.
With a vision to produce international climbers in J&K the school has also installed an international standard Finger Board in the school premises so as to provide international standard technical facilities to the sport climbers of J&K.
In the meantime, Bhattacharjee expressed his gratitude to the school management for the liberal good will gesture and promised to conduct more such activities during 2015. With sustained support of the school to Mountaineering Association of J&K the state would soon emerge as a formidable force in sport climbing in the country, he hoped.
