Youth Movement demands repair of Parliwand-Hatli road | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Mar 29: Irate over bad condition of a stretch of Parliwand-Hatli road, the Youth Movement urged the District administration to take urgent necessary steps to repair the stretch so that accidents could be avoided. General Secretary, Youth Movement Sidhant said the dilapidated stretch has become as accident prone and appealed to the authorities to look into their grievances and take steps for their early redressal. A small stretch of Parliwand-Hatli road exactly in front of PHE office near the old bus stand is turned as like a "Khud" "full stony area and become the accidental prone with the formation of multiple deep and wide potholes due to which it is very difficult to pass the way and brings the tragic mis-happenings especially in night time, residents and activists of Youth Movement said. Movement said that despite being a most busy and called as life line, the road has been facing neglect from the concerned department over the years. Over the matter, the concerned department and district administration revealed as failure over the years continuously and its dilapidated condition makes apathy evident. Youth Movement's General Secretary Sidhant alleged the concerned department should not show such level of irresponsible and apathetic approach towards this critical problem which has put the life of common passers at risk. He said that including school going children the common passers are the worst sufferers of this most bad stretch, as they face great hardships while walking or driving on this road. He also said in this connection a memorandum through District administration will be submitted to the state government and expose the failure of concerned department if the repairing of the damaged stretch is not done in stipulated time frame. |
