"Criminal negligence of JKBOSE puts students' career in Jeopardy" Harshdev | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 29: Urging upon the Education Minister to address the much publicized and highly obscene notoriety of the JKBOSE in promoting unfair means and mass copying in various JKBOSE exams, Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman and Former Education Minister has further pointed out a glaring instance of the said Boards malfeasance in academic field which has had a highly damaging effect on the careers of students. Referring to the question paper of class 12th of Physical Education Set B conducted by JKBOSE last week he said that the same is full of dozens of conceptual and grammatical errors besides ambiguity which has generated great unrest and resentment amongst the students who have taken the said exams. He said that with question paper full of abstruse and enigmatic errors, the careers of the students have been put in Jeopardy who have sough fixation of responsibility besides compensation for the loss suffered due to omissions and commissions of JKBOSE. He said that a deputation of several students who took Physical Education exam of 12th class disclosed numerous errors and anomalies in question paper which have been duly verified and reveal culpably negligent, utterly irresponsible and highly rebrobate conduct on the part of JKBOSE authorities. Making a mention of some of the errors in the said question paper, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh said that question no. 3 in the said question paper 'Standard track' has been spelt as 'standard trach' therby creating confusion amongst students. The said question further asks the candidates to 'show start' without clarifying whether the word 'start' refers to 'standing point' or 'start technique'. He said that the word 'essential' in question no. 8 has been mis-spelt as 'essentail' which also created confusion. He said in question no. 10, the candidates have been asked to explain 'dopping' which is a non existent term. The students have sought to know whether the examiners intent was 'doping', a word existing in dictionary and science or something else. There is further confusion with regard to use of word 'Phy Education' in question no. 11. Question no. 15 states "what is immorality? give few points" which is highly ambiguous. |
