Piran Ditta new President of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha 4/19/2015 11:42:35 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 19: All Jammu & Kashmir Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha (Regd.) elections concluded today with the administering of Oath by the newly elected President of the Sabha Piran Ditta & Gen.Secretary of the Sabha M.L. Banahalia by the chairman of the election committee in which Rakesh Wazir State Gen. Secy. Bahujan Samaj Party was prominently present. It is worthwhile to mention here that elctions of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha were held on the directions of the High Court under the supervision of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu in which Piran Ditta who secured 2232 votes remain the winner by defeating Vijay Lochan in a close contest and likewise M.L Banahalia became the Gen. Secy. of the Sabha by defeating Raj Kumar Raja by securing 2300 votes that too in a close contest held at Shri Guru Ravi Dass ji Temple Krishna Nagar which is the head office of the Sabha as well.The victory margin in both the cases was very thin. Rakesh Wazir while speaking on the occasion congratulated the newly elected team,and thanked the Hon'ble High Court and especially the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu for smooth conduct of elections and said that the new team will prove to be an asset for the society because Piran Ditta is a great visionary person and have got vast experience because he has already served as the President of the Sabha for 2 years from 2010-12 and convenor of the Sabha from 2006-2010 and his visionary approach would establish good relations with the each and every section of the society and Sabha will attain new heights. Piran Ditta newly elected President of the Sabha while thanking the people, High Court and especially the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Pawan Kotwal for conducting the free & fair elections. Newly elected Gen.Sec. M.L.Banahalia and the Raj Kumar Raja who lost the election of Gen.Sec. by a thin margin, even less than 200 votes also thanked the people for their support. The prominent among others present on the occasion include Ved Parkash President Brahmin Sabha, Bodh Raj Bhagat President Bhagat Sabha, Dineshwar Singh Jamwal Organisor Dogra Manch, Presidents of all the branches of Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha of J&K besides thousands of people.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
