Construct township for KPs in valley: Pandita | JTC holds protest | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 19: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) under the presidentship of its president Shadi Lal Pandita held a protest demonstration against separatists of valley as well as state government for opposing the construction of township for displaced Kashmiri Pandits in the valley. While addressing protestors he lambasted at separatist leaders of Kashmir Pandita said, we Kashmiri Pandits are original inhabitants of Kashmir and our history is 5000 years old. We donot need any permission or consent from separatist leaders like Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Yaseen Malik and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq to get settled in the valley, he maintained. We have equal right on the land of Kashmir and want to live at any place of our choice with peace there, Pandita added. Cutting a sorry figure on the role of Swami Agnivesh, Pandita said that it is very unfortunate part of story that Agnivesh joined Yaseen Malik’s hunger strike against KPs. He urged the Govt to take action against Swami Agnivesh who has proved himself a pro-militant, he added. Taking a dig at central and state governments for their failure in mitigating the demands of KPs, Pandita said that govt has failed at all fronts to take proper care of the migrants. He urged the government to construct township for displaced Kashmiri migrants at an earliest in the valley and any hue and cry for oppossing this move should be dealt with iron hand. He said ration is not being provided in time, though the monthly cash assistance was enhanced but the order was not implimented as yet. He further added that ration coupans and cash assistance for the month of March 2015 should be released immediately as the migrants were facing lot of hardships. |
