HC directs ADC to appear in person Delay in release of payment 4/25/2015 11:48:36 PM Jammu, Apr 25 : Justice B L Bhat has directed the Additional Deputy Commissioner (powers of collector land acquisition) to appear in person on April 28 next to give reasons and show what are the legal impediments in handling over the possession of land measuring about 1150 marlas to the ex-servicemen league. It was argued that the amount with respect to the land had already been with the respondent and even award had attained finality in the year 2012 but despite of many representations the respondent is not making the entry of petitioner in revenue record. It was also argued that revenue authorities are not paying any heed in handling over the possession and since the award had attained finality and money had also been lying with respondent so they are under legal obligation to hand over the same to the petitioners. Justice Bhat directed the additional deputy commissioner to appear in person before court on April 28 and explain the legal impediments which are restraining him from doing it.
