| NGO seeks probe in prolonged tenure of selected DRPs | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Apr 25: Alleging an unholy nexus for prolonged tenure of District Resources Person (DRP) instead of fixed tenure of two years, the Nazir Ahmed and Mohd Tariq office bearers of NGO, Social Justice today demanded a CBI probe to expose the nexus of officials at the helms of affairs some selected DRPs are working for these posts for the last more than 10 years.
"Besides long years services many among these DRPs even don't' qualify the conditions including experience of more than 15 years in the department, they said.
Members of Social Justice, NGO also said that many DRPs were involved in the embezzlement of Sarav Sikhsha Abhiyan (SSA) funds including withdrawal of huge amounts against fake bills for the construction works of school buildings and funds made available for the studies/welfare of handicapped students. Pertinently Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri after such several complaints had issued order No CEOR/35149-59 dt4/03/13 directing these DRPs, Zonal Resource Persons (ZRPs) to join their duties at their respective institutions.
"But despite the gap of more than 2 years most of the DRPs and ZRPs are still working in the office of CEO's office" said Nazir Ahmed.
He added that several times the matter was taken up with the CEO, Rajouri and Director School Education (DSE) and instead their replacements and even after about 3-4 Government Orders these DRPs and ZRPs have managed their posting in SSA by violating all rules/norms. Social Justice alleged that teachers working under SSA having links with higher authorities in the Education Department have managed their posting in SSA and are involved in the embezzlement of lakhs of Rupees meant for construction of school building, toilet complex, kitchen sheds, and even the funds provided by the Union Government for the education and welfare of handicapped students. Social Justice , NGO had demanded CBI inquiry into this nexus and in some cases the orders of government were kept aside and these blue eyed are working in SSA project on the orders issued by junior officers at CEOs office at Rajouri. |
