| Sharma kick starts road construction work | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 25 : T o cope up with the road conditions in Jammu West Constituency, BJP MLA Sat Sharma (CA) kick started construction works of road in Ward Number 29 of Bakshi Nagar area. Sharma toured the area along with PWD officials and started the works in the area. Besides PWD officials, local residents, political activists and people belonging to all walks of life also accompanied the MLA during his visit.
The MLA kick started the work of road near Pawan Fruit Ice Cream which will be constructed under the supervision of PWD (Public Works Department) at an estimated cost of around Rs 12 lakhs. The stretch of the road which will be covered is from Pawan Fruit Ice Cream to Toph Bridge covering 2-3 kms of the area.
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma (CA) said that it was a long pending demand of the residents of the area as well as of the people passing through the road. He said there will be no compromise with the quality of work as it is public money and public deserves to get best from it. The residents of the area also thanked the MLA for completing their long pending demand. The MLA also toured Krishna Nagar and Resham Ghar areas of Ward Number 12 and 13 along with JMC and UEED officials and witnessed the problems faced by the residents of the area.
The MLA asked the officials to jot down the problems of the people so that their miseries could be met and basic necessities of the residents could be covered.
