| People of Rajouri accuse local MLA, Minister for not providing ration | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, May 5: Irate over the failure of CAPD department for not providing ration, people of Rajouri district alleged that the department under the control of local MLA and CA&PD Minister Choudhary Zulfikar Ali has failed to provide adequate ration to the inhabitants of Budhal, Kotranka , Darhal, Manjakot , Thanamandi and other tehsils in Rajouri district. Every coming day the people of the district has been holding protest demonstrations at various places against the CA&PD officials alleging that department has failed to provide ration at fair price shops on regular basis. Inhabitants of Rajdhani in Thanamandi tehsil held a protest demonstration against CA&PD officials and alleged that they are not getting adequate ration at government run fair price shops.
"Sometimes we get rice only in the beginning of the month and sometimes department send Atta in the first week. Sugar is being supplied in the last week of the month that too after a gap of one month. Our demand is that department must provide Atta, Sugar and Rice on the same day" said Bashir Ahmed and others. They added poor people due to their financial restrains can't afford to purchase ration in the open market on higher prices and they mostly depend on ration being provided through ration cards .
Mumtaz Ahmed , Assistant Director (AD) CA&PD assured the people that the department has adequate stock of ration and will soon be provided to them.
"In case the ration dealers are not distributing required ration to the beneficiaries as per their ration cards, suitable action under rules will be taken against them after verification of authentic complaints" said Assistant Director CA&PD. |
