Jammu, May 5: MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta under Swatch Bharat Abhiyan launched a sanitation drive in his constituency today where sanitation and cleanliness of narrow lane and by lanes always remained challenge for JMC as 'scavenging machines/carriers can't enter in these areas. In keeping with the spirit of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a cleanliness and sanitation a drive was launched today by MLA Jammu (E) Rajesh Gupta in presence of Sojanya Sharma, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and Health Officer JMC, Zafar Iqbal and CTO Deepak Gupta. During the occasion the participants took a pledge that they will take the mission of Swatch Bharat Abhiyan to their respective areas of the constituency.
Rajesh Gupta while speaking on the occasion said that cleanliness drive would go a long way in making Jammu city as a model constituency. He also thanked the Commissioner JMC and other concerned JMC officials and also the members of the civil society for making the beginning of Swatch Bharat Abhiyabn in his constituency. Prominent among present on the occasion Karan Singh, Sunil Sharma, Naresh Abrol, Girdhari, Ridesh, Prof Sham, T C Gupta, Chaman Lal, Raj Kumar, Dan Swaroop, Kuldeep, Ashwani, Parshotam, Dalip and Lalit. |
