ABSMS to start community census | | | Jammu, May 5: Jammu and Kashmir unit of Akhil Bhartiya Shiromani Mahajan Sabha (ABSMS) in a bid to underprivileged within the community has decided to go for community census. According to spokesperson, the purpose of initiative is to maintain a record of community members' social and other important aspects as well as to learn to aid the needy. Spokesperson said that the decision in this regard was taken in a meeting which was chaired by president J&K Unit Mahesh Gupta. "Chief Pattern state unit Ram Gupta, former secretary Rajindra Motiyal, former Sr Vice President Yash Gupta also were present in this meeting." Spokesperson said. He said, "It was unanimously decided that the activists will be authorized to maintain record about the community through a special form which is to be filled by the head of family. "This is the first ever time in state when a community i.e. Mahajan fraternity is taking up the task of community census. Mahesh Gupta, the President J&K Chapter said though it is challenging task but with the support of community the volunteers will managed it done in time. Urging community members to support the campaign, he appealed to community members fill up form and submit due details. Among others present in this meeting included, Vice president Sham Langer, Secretary Ram Langer, cashier Yash Pal 'Yash' , Rajesh Gupta, Kaku Shah and Surinder Gupta. |
