| MLA discusses developmental work plan | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 5: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) MLA Sat Sharma today held a series of meetings with Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Commissioner Soujanya Sharma and officials of the department. According to press release, he also met officials of PWD (Public Works Department) and apprised them of the problems faced by the public and stressed upon a speedy solution to the problems of people.
The MLA also toured Ward 30 and 31 falling in Talab Tillo area with JMC Commissioner and officials of JMC also accompanied the MLA during his visit. He also reviewed the system of Sanitation, Maintenance of Street Lights system and the problem of Lanes and drains of the area.During his meeting his JMC Commissioner, Sat Sharma (CA) stressed upon the renovation of Shakti Nagar Shamshan Ghat and said that it has been under a very bad condition from a very long time and it's been used frequently by public so there becomes a dire need to renovate such valuable spot. He said that sitting arrangements and toilet facility including bathing facility for women and rain shed should also be provided in Shamshan Ghat. Sharma also suggested the JMC Commissioner that the vacant land of JMC at Main Stop, Janipur should be used for a Air Conditioned Mall with underground parking with escalators in order to promote the agenda of development in the Constituency which will also help young entrepreneurs to become self employed. |
