| MLC Kishtwar visits Kishtwas campus of Jammu University | | |

Kishtwar, May 5: MLC Kishtwar Firdous Ahmed Tak today visited Kishtwar Campus and inspected the various ongoing construction work of Kishtwar Campus. He visited Academic Block , Girls Hostel and Boys Hostel. Director Kishtwar Campus Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik accompanied the MLC and discussed with him various issues regarding functioning of the Kishtwar Campus. Prof. Shohab informed the MLC that a mere amount is being released by the state govt. for running the campus which is not enough. He informed MLC that there is no permanent teaching and non-teaching faculty in the campus, beside govt. has not paid the compensation to the newly identified land for Kishtwar Campus amounting to Rs 6.00 crore. Prof. Shohab further demanded that geology and Kashmiri subjects be introduced in the colleges of Chenab valley so that the local student of the Chenab valley could be benefited. The MLC gave a patient hearing and assured him that the matters will be discussed to the Chief Minister of the state. He also assured that books will be provided to the library of Kishtwar Campus and IT lab will be established in the newly constructed academic block of Kishtwar Campus. |
