Hope 2015 brings better tourist season in J&K: ANC | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 5: Asking people to contribute towards the promotion of tourism industry of the state for improving economic conditions, ANC hoped that year 2015 will have a better tourist season. According to press release, speaking on the occasion, ANC Provincial President, Gian Singh said that development of scenic spots and their projection through appropriate forums may encourage the tourists to visit the state. He asked people to boost the economic conditions of the state by promoting tourism. "The main objective of projecting the tourism potential is to increase the employment avenues for unemployed youth in this lucrative industry," he added. Singh said government must take various initiatives for showcasing the unexplored tourist destinations which signify the rich heritage and diverse culture of the state. "The adventure, pilgrim and sports tourism should also be focus area of the government as these sectors have tremendous scope in Jammu & Kashmir state," he added. He urged the concerned authorities to explore ways and means to offer package tours to the visitors that showcase J&K as a confluence where nature, pilgrim and heritage tourism meet. |
