Kishtwar, May 15: The employees working on the need base in Kishtwar Mechanical Division of Roads and Building Department today held strong protest against the government for their failure to release 8 month salary. As per the details available with "Early Times", the employees of the division, about 30 in number assembled at Kishtwar head quarter under the leadership of Imtiyaz Ahmed Shah, held a strong protest over non release of monthly wages pending since last over eight months. They said that despite working round the clock even under harsh weather conditions, the department fail to give them the salaries on time. "We have even approach Minister of State for R & B Sunil Sharma, Executive Engineer, but allow gives us hollow assurance" said agitating employees, added that in case the department fails to release their salaries, they will intensified their protest in coming days. When contacted Anil Gupta, Executive Engineer Mechanical Division Kishtwar said that due to non release of funds the department is helpless to release the salaries of need base employees, added that the demand for release of funds has been put before the higher authorities, including before concerned MoS R&B for early release. He said that department is hopeful of early release of funds from the government and assured that as soon as department will receive the funds, the salaries will be credited into the accounts of the agitating employees. |
