Police claim to have recovered 1.5kgs heroin on Sarfu's wife disclosures

Jammu, May 15: Six days after the arrest of the wife of late Sarfu -a notorious narcotic smuggler, Police claimed to have seized 1kgs.573 gm of more Heroin worth crores on her disclosure, here on Friday.
Police sources said, "Preeto Devi wife of notorious trans border narcotic smuggler namely late Sarfu Ram, who was arrested six days before by police alongwith with other members of family and later was sent to the Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC), Jammu for sustained questioning."
Police sources said that during questioning she revealed that they had concealed the Heroine weighing 1 kg 573gms in a plot, situated next to her house in Khour -Akhnoor.
Acting on her disclosures, police seized the consignment which has face value to the tune of Rs more than one crore in International Market, said SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh, adding with this recovery, police have recovered nearly 6 kg Heroine.
Earlier she alongwith three other family members was arrested when a police team of police station Khour headed by SHO SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta and PSI Rajinder Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Naresh Singh, Incharge SDPO Rural Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan and Incharge SSP Jammu Uday Bhaskar Billa along with Magistrate raided the their residence on May 8 and recovered huge consignment of narcotic and psychotropic substance.

On her disclosure police also not only had recovered 4.115 kilograms of narcotic substance (presumed as heroin), but also Indian currency to the tune of Rs 89.45 lakh and 9 mobile phones by digging at various place.
In this regard a case under FIR number 29/15 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Khour police station and investigation is going on to arrest other persons involved in this cross-border narcotic smuggling business.
Her two sons namely Sunny and Sanjay Kumar are already arrested in narcotic smuggling case and are presently lodged in Jail at Amritsar, Punjab.
