Jammu, May 15: Jammu and Kashmir National Panther Party (JKNPP) chairman Harsh Dev Singh lambasted the BJP-PDP government for arbitrary and unwarranted termination of thousands of daily wagers, casual workers, need based and contingent workers besides consolidated and contractual employees by issuance of the aforesaid controversial. According to press release, Singh seeks the revocation of Govt. Order No. 384-GAD of 2015 dated 17.03.15. He also regretted that coalition government which had made tall announcements of youth empowerment during the Assembly elections indulged in the most contemptuous exploitation of the youth by ordering the dis-engagement of reportedly around 62,000 temporary workers engaged in various government Departments, Public Sector undertakings, Boards and other autonomous bodies. Demanding the roll back of the highly controversial GAD order, Harsh Dev Singh said that the incumbent employees proposed to be dis-engaged have been performing their duties for the last 10-20 yrs on meager wages and their termination would tell severely upon their very existence. Reprehending the coalition government for issuing their termination order, Singh said that the move was aimed simply at ousting the employees engaged by previous govt. so as to make room for engagement of the political workers of the present coalition govt. He further demanded the immediate release of salaries of RETs and other teachers who were forced to take to streets for release of their salaries which were unpaid for 7-8 months. Rajesh Padgotra,Shiv Charan Singh,Khajur Singh, Pawan Dev Singh, Pushpinder Singh, Dharam Singh, Rajesh Sharma, Karnail Singh, Baldev Singh, Kulbushan Singh, Sukhjit Singh,Shankar Singh and Anil Rakwal were also present on the occasion. |
