POWERGRID, NHPC sign connection agreements

Jammu, May 15: In compliance to the provisions of Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) order dated 19.01.2015, connection agreements in respect of 540 MW Chamera -1 HPS, 390 MW Dulhasti HPS, 690 MW Salal HPS, 480 MW Uri HPS and 300 MW Chamera -II HPS were signed between Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Central Transmission utility and NHPC.
The agreements were signed by S.K.Sharma, Executive Director, Northern Region-II on behalf of POWERGRID and Sh. S.Kalgaonkar, Executive Director (T&RE), on behalf of NHPC in presence of senior executives from both organizations. As per the order of CERC dated 19.01.2015, generating companies ,for those generating stations commissioned prior to 01.01.2010, have to sign the connection agreement with POWERGRID . As per the agreements signed responsibilities of both generating companies and CTU have been finalized in respect of these generating stations.
A.K.Pal , GM(AM) POWERGRID, Sh. S.D.Joshi , GM(Projects) POWERGRID, Sh. Mastan Singh NHPC were among the prominent people present on this occasion.
