Saroori dubs BJP drive hypothetical Take on Chenab valley membership vigorously 5/16/2015 12:11:39 AM Early Times Report Ramban, May 15: - In order to regain its hold in once party strong bastion of Chenab valley where Congress represented five out of six assembly segments between 2008 to 2014, the Congress party under the leadership of Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, Vice President JKPCC and MLA from Inderwal launched a massive membership drive in the Ramban District today and has advised the Congress cadres to go for a vigorous membership drive by reaching to every nook and corner of all the three Districts of Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban. Mocking at BJP leaders for rushing to bus stations and railway stations to enroll new members, Congress Vice President while addressing a party function here at Ramban said that quality and not quantity matters while signing on new members for the party. Saroori while hitting out at BJP said that BJP has failed to deliver in last one year and flaws the "Missed call" membership drive started by the BJP. He said that Congress party did not believe in such type of practices where the party leadership fails to reach out at the door step of the masses. He said that BJP membership drive is hypothetical, added that party has lost its credibility as the common people feels betrayed by the promises made by the BJP at the time of election campaign. He said that Congress party is a vibrant party having a presence in all the three regions of the state and appreciated the steps taken by the Congress high Command for further rejuvenating the party. Saroori said that Congress membership drive always focused on booth-level registrations. "We need to have our people in booths across the state instead of searching them in places like railway stations where BJP leaders carried out their membership campaign," added Saroori Saroori exhorted the party workers to defeat the nefarious designs of PDP-BJP and help people in redressal of their grievances.
