Revival of debate culture, a visionary approach of Education Minister: Deep Singh | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 15: Jammu Private Schools and ETT Institutes Association president Deep Singh today said that revival of debate culture, a visionary approach of education minister. According to press release, Singh requested the hon'ble minister for public/stakeholders based debates for meaningful reforms in education sector while coming out of the bureaucrats' civil secretariat luxury rooms. "Mostly, politicians were found selfish enough and never ready to encourage the masses particularly the students for speaking talent but to start the debating process within schools and its extra ordinary promotion at government level definitely reflects the vision of the minister", he said. It is quite unfortunate on the part of country's ruling/political class that was found almost insincere and irrelevant in promotion of rich traditional values among the young generation and just tried to misuse this valuable human energy for petty political gains. It was again a big failure of our ruling class that badly failed in developing the education and health sectors despite declaring as priority fields. Neither an effective education nor needed sports policy was prepared by the said in visionary political class as on date. Instead of exploring the measures towards a meaningful growth, education portfolio was developed as money minting transfer industry by the greedy politicians. To us, lot of things has to be done for the needed up gradation of education sector and to achieve the required goals, healthy debates at public level particularly at students' level can be meaningful enough provided it is honestly monitored and promoted as a regular feature. They hope that focus of the state education minister towards debates will prove a meaningful feature in order to address the urgent requirements. |
