| DC constitutes committees to improve work culture in Schools | | | Early Times Report
Reasi, May 15: In order to strengthen the work culture and enhance the quality of output from education department, Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Sushma Chauhan had constituted 21 committees.
Chauhan while talking to media today, informed that these committees would be headed by Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars. She said that the committees have been asked to give their findings in the form of weekly reports regarding the student-teacher ratio, punctuality, mid day meal and quality of education in schools under their jurisdiction.
Chauhan added that the committees will also give their recommendations about developing a better work culture in the schools and the general problems in the schools, adding that the village education committees and the village Panchayats have also been asked to prepare similar reports about schools functioning so that the reports of the committees could be counter checked.
Chauhan said there are number of challenges before administration to streamline the education system in the district and constitution of these committees is a major step in this direction. She further said that these committees will oversee the implementation of all education schemes as well as working of schools.
All these initiatives are taken up to reform the education system in the district and to ensure transparency, accountability and efficiency in the education department. |
