Sunil Sharma orders strict action against absentee teachers
Distributes order among newly joined teachers

Kishtwar, May 15: The Minister of State for Revenue, R&B Sunil Kumar Sharma today directed the education authorities to take strict action against the absentees teachers and asked the concern Zonal Education Officers (ZEO's) to inspect at least five schools daily and submitted the report to higher ups and the problems faced by the schools and to report absenteeism.
The Minister's direction comes after he today paid a surprise visit to the office of Chief Education Officer Kishtwar and took on the spot review of Education Sector in Kishtwar.
During his visit to CEO Office, Deputy CEO Kishtwar Javaid Ahmed Kichloo apprised the minister about the functioning of the department, new activities and challenges.
Sharma also sought details of all the schools functioned in Kishtwar District, the sanctioned staff strength and availability of teaching and non teaching staff in all these schools.
He asked the department to specially focus on far flung areas of the district and asked Dy. CEO to depute the ZEOs of concerning zones to inspect five schools daily and provide details of functioning of these schools.
"The chronic problem of absenteeism in schools should be dealt strictly without any mercy on such teachers" said Sunil Sharma in the meeting.
On this occasion the minister also congratulated 195 new teachers who joined today in district Kishtwar after petitioner Sonu Kumar withdraw his petition from the High Court, the petition on which the court last year issued the stay order.
Sharma also handed over the appointment orders to some of these teachers. In his address to the new teachers, Sharma said that they should come forward and serve the society with zeal and zest and exhorted on them to work hard and shape the future of the upcoming generation. At the same time he also said that those who compromise with their duties will also invite strict action against them.
