JAMMU, May 15 : Border Security Force (BSF) School Paloura today sailed into the final of ongoing inter-school district level under-17 boys' football tournament, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), at GGM Science College ground, here. In the semifinal, played today, BSF Paloura defeated Ashoka High School 6-5 via tie breaker. Lakshik, Prabal, Vinay, Prajval and Nishant scored for the winning team while Kushant, Rajan, Manveer, Mohit and Abishek were scorers from Ashoka High School. Earlier, in the quarterfinals, again played today, Ashoka High School beat Heritage School by a solitary goal. Mohit was the lone scorer. In another quarterfinal of the day, BSF School trounced MHAC Nagbani 2-0. Lakshik netted both the goals. In other quarterfinals, JK Public School blanked 4-0. Digvijay made it a big win adding three goals while Vildan was other goal scorer. The Delhi Public School (DPS) also won their quarterfinal game beating JP World School 1-0. Arjun Gupta scored the lone goal for DPS. The semifinal was witnessed besides others by Deputy Director, DYSS, Rishi Kumar. Today's matches officiated by the technical penal comprising Ajay Kumar, Bharat Bhushan, Rohit, Varinder, Gurbachan Singh, Amolak Singh, Mahadev, Jyoti and Ravinder Singh. |
