CPMF delegation meets DG BSF, highlights demands | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 4: A delegation of All Jammu Kashmir Ex-Paramilitary Forces Welfare Associations (CPMF), led by General Secretary Darshan Kumar called on the BSF Director General (DG) KK Sharma in New Delhi today and apprised him about the issues and problems being faced by them regarding their genuine demands. The major demands of the associations like OROP, exemption from New Contributory Pension Scheme for serving personnel appointed from January 1, 2004 onwards similar to the defence forces, CSD canteen facilities, paramilitary service pay similar to the Military Service Pay (MSP) and extension of organized Service Status and Non Functional Financial Up-gradation (NFFU) to the Group a officers of the paramilitary forces as per the Delhi High Court judgment were highlighted. They further demanded the formation of Statutory Paramilitary Welfare Board instead of Welfare and Rehabilitation Board as the Defence Ministry had announced OROP for the defence forces last year. Meanwhile DG gave patients hearing to the delegation and assured the Associations members to put forth the entire genuine demands and issues with Home department. Sardhari Lal, Kaushal Kumar, Mohammad Ayub Khan and other members were also present on the occasion. |
