J&K women gymnasts declared national Champions
Win 5 Gold, 1 Silver, 2 Bronze

Jammu, Feb 21: Jammu and Kashmir gymnastics team, comprising Mitali, Palak Kour, Nandani Lakhotra and Vandhana Barathi, have won the senior national gymnastics championship, bagging 5 Gold, 1 Silver & 2 Bronze medals.
Their performance has been lauded by the Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council.
Secretary state sports council Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra has congratulated the team and gymnasts for keeping the state flag high in national championship.
The Senior national gymnastics championships was held in Mohali from February 16 to 18 in which Palak Kour bagged three gold medals in All round & Individual apparatus finals of Ball, Ribbon and a bronze medal in Hoop events, Mitali too performed excellent and got another Individual Gold medal in Hoop event & bronze medal in Club event whereas Vandhana got silver in Ball event.
This was the highest achievement of J&K gymnasts in Senior national Gymnastics championships so far. The team has been able to bring laurels for the state under the guidance and coaching of Sports council's coaches Krupali Singh & S. P. Singh who have been training these gymnasts at Indoor Sports complex, MA stadium Jammu.
