Students, staff of YCET win best paper award during National Conference

Jammu, Feb 21: 8th semester students of IT engineering, YCET won best paper award in computer science category in two-day national conference held at Government College of Engineering and Technology, Jammu. Four students Mukul Gupta, Roshika Tondan, Heena Sharma and Preksha Sharma worked under the guidance of HOD Computer and IT engineering, Er. Dinesh Gupta and presented a paper titled "Free Space Optical Communication". The paper was about free space optical (FSO) communication and its connectivity with central cellular network. A total of 70 papers were submitted for the conference out of which 48 papers were selected and among all the participant students of YCET were presented the best paper award in computer science.
Dr. Arvind Dewangan, Director YCET, Dr. Sandeep Malik, Dean YCET and Er B.R. Verma, Chief co-ordinator YCET congratulated the students and their guide and also gave them their best wishes. Department of Applied Sciences organized an Essay Writing Competition for the students of Second semester on the occasion of International Mother Language Day. The Topic of the competition was "The Cultural Context of Analysis: Promoting linguistic and Cultural Diversity in India." India is a country with rich cultural and linguistic diversity and has a total of 122 major languages and 1599 other languages.
