| DDC conducts surprise visit of various Government offices | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 21: After several complaints from the general public alleging most of the time government officials remain absent from duties in government offices at various tehsil HQs and schools, a surprise inspection was conducted at 30 offices on the directions from DDC.
Sources said during surprise inspections on the directions from Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhry, DDC, Zonal Education Planning Officer (ZEPO) office was found locked.
The various teams under the supervision of AS Chib, Additional DDC (ADDC) conducted surprise inspections of the government offices at tehsil headquarters including Thanamandi, Manjakot, Darhal and Dassal Palullian area (Rajouri).
DIO added those who were found absent from duty include a library assistant at Ghambhir Brahmna high school, one teacher at Higher secondary school (HSS) at Deri Ralyote; at Darhal tehsil HQs ,4 employees were found absent in BDO office; two employees each in Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) office and at boys & Girls HSS.
He added during inspection of middle school at Raki Baan, headmaster along with other four teacher was found absent from duty, nine officials were absent from duty at Keriyan (Rajouri) niddle school while one teacher each were absent in high school at Ziarat Sharief and in Nambla middle school.
Inspection team found one doctor and two FMPHWs absent from duty in PHC Ziyarit Sharif Palullian and one official in DFCO Office at Pathan Morha Rajouri.
During inspection of office of the Executive Officer, Municipal Committee (MC) inspection team noticed that EO was absent from duty and no movement register/ biometric attendance sheet was found in the office.
"Besides absence of these officials(34), number of officials were also shown on field duties and on deputations including four from tehsil office Darhal, three from boys higher secondary school Darhal, three from girls higher secondary school Darhal, four from high school Ziyarit Sharif and three from Middle School Namblan" said DIO. |
