Grameen Bank organises D-FLAP at Kirpind, Prithpur | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 21: J&K Grameen Bank organized D-FLAP (Going Digital) at villages Kirpind & Prithpur (unbanked area) Tehsil-RS Pura District-Jammu under Branch Offices Kirpind & Kotli Mian Fateh respectively. Micro Finance and Financial Inclusion Department under the chairmanship of RK Chhibber in collaboration with NABARD organized Digital-Financial Literacy Awareness Programmes at villages Kirpind & Prithpur(unbanked area) Tehsil-RS Pura District-Jammu under Branch Offices Kirpind & Kotli Mian Fateh respectively. SP Choudhary, Manager Regional office Jammu, J&K Grameen Bank was the chief guest on the occasion, aware people about developments in banking sector and latest schemes. The participants were informed regarding various modes of getting cashless transactions from banks, various safeguards to be kept in mind in order to be aware and prevent cases of cheating/ corruption while availing different banking facilities with special reference to use of ATM Cards, Mobile Banking etc. People were educated about the Aadhar Seeding and Mobile seeding with their respective saving bank accounts which is need of the hour for the banking sector. Vidya Sagar, Branch Head Kotli Mian Fateh, J&K Grameen Bank, highlighted that the programme intends to impact the gathering regarding digitisation by educating the people about the benefits of digital banking and a cashless economy. He highlighted that with our thrust on enabling an impactful mind set changes towards Cash to cashless economy. He enlightened people and students about new technologies available in the bank such as multiple uses of Bank cheques, Use of POS Machine, RuPay Debit card, KCC RuPay Debit Card, Net Banking, Mobile Banking Services, IMPS, Adhaar based transactions etc. Representatives of Line Departments like KVIB, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Education and NRLM also attended the programme. Gurmeet Kour, Manager Kirpind, aware people about various lending schemes tailored by our bank for General Public available on easy EMIs i.e. Housing loan, Transport loan, Car loan, Education loan etc where rate of interest charged by the bank is very competitive, Rupay debit cards were also distributed to the customers. |
