Randhawa dedicates lane, drain to public
2/21/2018 9:49:28 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 21: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa today dedicated a newly constructed lane and to public at Mohalla Shomali of Chatha panchayat under Satwari Block.
While speaking on the inauguration ceremony Ch. Vikram lambasted those who remained legislators from Gandhi Nagar for two consecutive terms i.e., 12 years and claims to be the father of development. He said that Mohalla Shomali which just few kilometres away from the heart of the city is still underdeveloped as no lane and drain had ever, since independence, was constructed in the area. Randhawa said that the people of the area approached him for the construction of the lane and drain and during his visit to the locality he had promised them to fulfil their demand.
He said that the lane and drain has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 3.5 lakh which he released from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF). "I am happy that I have kept the promise" Randhawa added. He said that the claims of development by the previous Congress legislator were mere slogans as nothing on ground particularly in the areas which were underdeveloped has been done.
He said that least has been done and a lot more requires to be done in the Mohalla Shomali and assured the public that they need not to go here and there as strong legislators from BJP (MLA and MLC) are with them which would bring an era of development in the area as they are committed to carry forward the slogan of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi 'Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas'.
