CUJ organizes 7 day “Faculty Development Prog”

Jammu, Feb 23: Department of Mass Communication and New Media, Central University of Jammu (CUJ), organized a 7-day Faculty Development Program on Rural Communication sponsored by National Council of Rural Institutes (NCRI), Hyderabad in Collaboration with National Service Scheme at their Temporary Academic Block, Sainik Colony, here today. Under this Program, various issues and practical approaches to Rural Communication will be discussed by eminent experts of related fields. They are invited to share their knowledge and practical approaches to various concerns. In Inaugural session of this program, Sunil Sharma Honorable Minister of State for Rural Development, J&k was the Chief Guest for the event, apart from that Prof. Ashok Aima V.C., CUJ, Prof. Govind Singh, HOD Deptt. of MCNM, Prof. Lokesh Verma HOD Deptt. of Education and Social Work, various professors, participants, and Students of various department showed their presence to give this one week program a pleasing start. "Practical work and Research-based Development is more important than just making plans and not implementing it at ground level. We need to understand what rural people want from the government and then work accordingly. I offer CUJ and NCRI to work in collaboration to prepare a roadmap for the development of the rural areas, and ministry is ready to give its full support," said MOS RD Sunil Sharma by congratulating CUJ for organizing this program.
