Sunderbani, Feb 23: A revenue official posted in Sunderbani Tehsil has allegedly destructed revenue record of land belongs to a poor farmer in Barnada area of the Tehsil.
According to Arun Kumar son of late Mahesh Chand resident of Garan, Barnada in Sunderbani, the revenue officials have destructed land records kept in their possession. "My father had purchased 25 land 15 years back, but recently i went to Tehsil office seeking copy of extract of land belongs to me, but the Patwari told the record has been damaged", Arun told Early Times and added that mysterious stains of ink were found on the registered of land record.
"Our land falls under Khasra no 107/51, the land is only source of livelihood for my family, but the development has made landless", he said and added that he has repeatedly approached Tehsildar Sunderbani and concerned Patwari but they were not listening him.
Arun alleged that the Patwari has hands in glove with some influential people and land record mysteriously got destructed after death of his father. "It smells that the Patwari has made mutation of land in favour of some to escape actions he has thrown ink on the register to destroying evidences", he added.
He has appealed the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti and Minister for Revenue Abdul Rehman Veeri to take necessary action against the erring officials.
