LPG Drivers Union celebrates foundation day | | | Early times Report
Jammu, Feb 23: Drivers union of LPG Tankers today celebrated its annual day here at IOC LPG plant Bari Brahmana wherein a large number of drivers attended the program and resolved to continue their struggle seeking implementation of minimum wages act for the drivers and cleaners. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Samresh Kumar, Manager of IOC LPG Plant appreciated the All Jammu and Kashmir LPG Tankers Drivers union and assured extension of all possible help to them. Ranjit Singh Raina Chairman along with Harasis Singh president of the drivers union also facilitated Inderjeet Sharma, deputy manager of the plant who will be retiring next month and presented him a memento as token of respect for his services in the public sector undertaking. While interacting with the drivers, the Chairman of the organization appealed the government and union ministry of petroleum to provide basic facilities to the drivers who render their services to the Oil Corporations throughout the year in plains of Jammu as well as mountainous regions and high peaks of Ladakh. Harasis Singh, presented the vote of thanks followed by refreshment for the members. |
