Bail denied to alleged blackmailer

Jammu, Feb 23: Judicial Magistrate RS Pura today rejected the bail application of a Calcutta based man, who was allegedly blackmailing an R S Pura girl over phone and social-networking sites.
The application was moved by advocate Raghu Mehta, Luxmi Devi and Sonika Gupta, seeking grant of bail in favour of Vicky Arora (36) son of Hargindara (Harijindra) Pal Arora resident North 24 Parganas, West Bengal.
Vicky Arora is accused in case FIR No. 291/2017 under sections 354-B/354-D/506/509 RPC and 67 I.T Act, at Police Station RS Pura.
Judicial Magistrate Ist Class RS Pura, Rekha Kapoor Nischal while rejecting the bail-application observed that in view of the facts and circumstances of the case and law laid down by the J&K High Court, I do not find it to be a fit case for the grant of bail to the applicant/accused and as such prayer of the applicant for the grant of bail stands rejected by the Court. Application is accordingly disposed off and be consigned to the records after its compilation.
