2/23/2018 11:33:41 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Feb 23: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) took over the probe into the Sunjuwan Military Station attack on Thursday, 22 February.
The elite investigation agency has reportedly registered a case in the 10 February attack on the military camp located in Jammu which claimed the lives of six soldiers and one civilian. Ten others were injured in the attack.
All three terrorists involved in the attack were killed by security forces in an operation that lasted over 50 hours. India has said that the terrorists who targeted the 36 Brigade headquarters of Army belonged to Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). "In compliance with the Ministry of Home Affairs order, the NIA has re-registered the case," sources quote an NIA officer as saying.
NIA registered the case under various sections under the law including Arms Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, which involves criminal conspiracy and waging war against the country among other charges. Sections 120B, 121, 302 and 307 of Ranbir Penal Code have also been filed.
Terrorists from JeM's Afzal Guru Squad (AGS) attacked the military station from the rear and targeted the family quarters of the jawans. They were wearing army fatigues and carried JeM flags. Following the attack, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had claimed that the "terrorists enjoyed local support".
